Soluteo Announces Commercial Availability of Soluteo Express for BlackBerry Users

May 9, 2007 - Orlando, FL - Wireless Enterprise Symposium - Soluteo, a specialist in developing mobile solutions for the BlackBerry® platform, today announced the commercial availability of Soluteo Express for mobile technicians using BlackBerry smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM). Soluteo Express enables small and medium sized businesses to coordinate the movements of their mobile technicians to get the nearest available service vehicle to the customer as quickly as possible.

Soluteo Express is a web-based management interface console combined with an application that runs on BlackBerry smartphones in the field. Dispatchers or other central coordinators use the web-based management interface to deploy mobile service personnel to resolve customer issues. The dispatcher can issue work orders to mobile service personnel and also track the status of the work order as it moves towards resolution. The dispatcher can also view a map showing where the customer is and which service personnel are closest to the customer. Mobile service personnel receive work orders on their BlackBerry smartphones and update the status of the work order as they progress to resolve the issue. A map showing directions to the customer’s site is also displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone saving service personnel the time of finding the customer.
